IT’S FALL YALL
A Classic Southern Treat
Originally thought to have come from France and named after a French chef, pralines made their way to the United States through New Orleans in the 1700s. The modern day pecan praline’s common ingredients are dairy, sugar, and pecans. Some people use water or evaporated milk, while others use vanilla, maple, and bits of pecans. Along the Gulf Coast and Louisiana pralines are pronounced “prah-leens” and in most other areas of the country they pronounce it “pray-leen.”
